Meeting Parker

Back in June, we took a camping trip to Mahoney State Park in Nebraska. We met the Smith family there and it was a fun place with lots to do. We didn’t get to take advantage of everything, but it was great to spend time with them and meet their new baby girl, Parker. What a trooper! She was just shy of 4 weeks old and did really well. Brecken was a good camper too. Cade, on the other hand, was not on his best behavior. That was at the peak of his bad behavior (hopefully) and he threw a huge fit in the camper when he didn't want to nap that I'm pretty sure the whole campground heard. As noted before, the summer has been challenging! He can be the sweetest little angel one minute and the next he is anything but. When we discipline him, he sometimes tells us he doesn’t love us…how do they learn such things?! On a more positive note, he did tell me one night shortly after this while we were reading books, “Mommy, you’re a good mommy.” Anyway, it was great to hang out with the Smiths for awhile and Jodi and I are so excited to both have our little girls to go along with our boys!
