She's Bringing Rat Tails Back

And here's Cade mid-nap today...yes he was still sleeping.

And this thing was in our garage today, stayed in this same spot all day...gives me the eebie jeebies just looking at the picture. I think it was as big as my head. Cade was freaked out by it. Jim said it has friends. I guess it could be worse!

We had a pretty good day today...finally went to the library and got some new bedtime books. Cade also got to choose a movie to check out. Usually I don't let him because almost every time we have brought home a movie from the library it is scratched and skips and we sit there and watch the same parts over and over and over. He chose Stuart Little 2 and there were no skips! And we've already watched it twice! : ) Cade took a super long nap, at least 3 hours. I guess he was tired from not taking one at all yesterday! Brecken now knows to go backwards down stairs. She can't actually go down the stairs by herself, but as soon as she gets to the stairs, she turns around and starts backing down. And today was Day One of Cade's Reward Chart. We chose 4 things to work on, a couple that he can do pretty easily and then a couple that he really needs to work on. They are using the bathroom (does this usually without issue), getting dressed by himself (sometimes does, sometimes won't), being gentle with Brecken (needs work), and no hitting (has had some issues with this lately and we don't want it to get out of hand). The only one he struggled with today was being gentle with Brecken. He was doing so good this morning, it was so sweet, he was rubbing her back and just being so nice but as the day went on it went downhill. So he only got 3 stickers today and won't get a special treat. : (

Happy Birthday to Grandpa Steve today! He is celebrating his birthday in Washington D.C...luckily not in the hotel that Jim stayed in! : )
